I acquired this model some time ago from an Ebay seller (sorry, can't remember the name) who was subsequently identified as a purveyor of iffy models. I had written this one off but, on looking at it again, i am wondering if it might be a genuine pre-production given that the baseplate rivet has been closed with a single chisel/screwdriver stroke.

Re: SF71 Jumbo Jet
I cannot recall seeing a rivet like this other than ones on trials/ preproduction. Although I do have one of these models unpressed, it is assembled and the model does stay together quite well.
Not sure I would say Preproduction, but I would be adding it to the interesting models section.
