Back In The Game Again

Post by Ewan »

Hello! Since stopping collecting and selling off my toys due to the arrival of a baby and the starting of a house renovation time has flown. The baby is now 4 and a half and the house renovation still hasn't finished
I have a nephew now living in Tasmania who is mad on Edinburgh/Lothian buses and every birthday and Christmas a model of one finds it's way across the globe for him. Now, there are only so many times I can go into the diecasts section on eBay without the inevitable happening and it looks like I'm collecting again.

My first arrival appeared a couple of days ago and I'm rather pleased with it. Apologies for the poor photo quality, I'm a bit rusty. Nothing else won so far, but I'm sure you can expect a trickle of oddities and junk just like when I was here before.

That's a neat little model. Who made it?

Also, good to see you back posting again.

Triang Spot On. I have always liked their truck models but never been able to afford one before. I am very happy to have got this one.

There was a Mini in that line. As I've been bitten by the Mini bug pretty badly, I'd like to have a Spot-On one...but there are currently none on eBay at a price I'm prepared to pay. Do the Spot-On models, generally speaking, command high prices?

...but they are absolutely superb models, helped by the fact that the whole series is to a single, standard scale. If I had the money (and the space!), I'd start collecting Spot-On today.

Hello Ewan!
Welcome back!
The joys (and responsibilities) of parenthood and home ownership are never ending so it’s great if you can set a little aside for yourself to enjoy finding a few old treasures.
I look forward to seeing what you find!
Enjoy your family, your home and your treasures!
Happy hunting!

Hi Ewan,
Yes welcome back, hope to see some of your new additions as you get them. My trip got cancelled this year up to the Western Isles, cottage is booked for next year so fingers crossed I can get back up there.
All the best and stay safe
