I'm amazed that car is from your childhood. Clearly you took better care of your toys than I did!
Naturally, my eyes were drawn to the Mini....

Re: Something for a slow day
Indeed, the seeds of becoming a collector were just flourishing in my childhood and even though I played with all my cars, they were played with, with great care and were always put back in their boxes.
I clearly remember my parents commending me for my care and appreciation of my toys and one reward model was the Sot-on 'Blower' Bentley that sat on the living room window ledge as a sort of Trophy for winning something and that was never played with!
Ghosthunter.

My Dad used to tell me that he didn't scratch the paint on his real cars, so why would I on mine. The Corgi were always well cared for. The Tootsietoys on the other hand....

At the beach, counting down to retirement.

My childhood die-cast were sold on at a flea market after I lost interest in them. Perhaps if my Dad had told me that, I'd have been a little more careful with my toys, and still had a few.
Edit: this thread is kinda making me want a Corgi Camaro...once my bank account recovers from the hit it took because I just had to have that Mini Magnifique...
