Some persistence and luck went into acquiring those models, no doubt! I have to wonder if any of them have working sirens and/or water cannons.

K-94 Airport Crash Tender has just arrived!
Picture shown is of the model as delivered and of the same model as shown on page 57 of the '40 years' book!
Cheers

Good question. As I understand it, it was these very components (or I should say the cost of) that contributed to the cost of manufacture being considered "too costly to proceed with the model." It's unlikely that they would pay for expensive prototype parts once the cost figure was determined to be too expensive for mass production.

Had the truck been made, It would have a very low survivor rate due to battery damage and water damage from it's own components.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Hi Marcel,
I had actually won another lot from another auction held on 24 September, and I instructed them to combine the postage.
Luckily they decided to bring forward the dispatch of the Crash Tender rather than push the other lot further back to combine the postage.
This is the first time that I've received something from Vectis after just 1 week. - usually it takes me about one month.
Cheers, Antoine
