74b Daimler Bus prepro/trial

Post by nearlymint »

The 2 buses on the left were also with the 7c prepro, left one is the same colour as the standard model. But the middle model is like an off white in colour, there is a very small detail missing on this side shown as well.
When you see the other side it becomes even more apparent that it is something special and something i have never come across before on this model.

You just have to stay away from London and those old men holding boxes of Toys on the streets Jason (if you are ever to downsize). I will send you some Postage for all of these 'Lunchbox Specials' so Mick does not get too upset over them... kwakers

Hi Jason
Again very nice models. It seems that they have lower windows.

Hi Antonin,
The model does not have the line cast along the top of the lower windows, maybe to locate the decal?

This big difference I did not notice until I got home.

Lunchbox specials are not special colours - they are common parts & colours assembled in combinations never officially produced. Kwakers should know that special colours like this are colour trials

Jason, you are right, I would say also that the line should be for decals

Very nice Jason, one of my favourite castings too! I wonder why the stair window was filled in for production?

Yes this open window i have never heard of before, this also makes the interior different with no brace. So there may be others with earlier interior.
i will try and get some pictures.
