"MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
May be a copy or may be another case of two manufacturers making models of the same car. But this "Ford Le Mans" is very similar to the wellknown Ford GT40 Lesney.

Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
That photo was more to do with the box graphics rather than the model being a copy. The model is number 110 in the series and the car is a Corona Mark ll.
The other interesting photos in that group are the copy of MB 2 Hot Rod Jeep. The side of the box says it's a "Precision die cast scale model" and yet the last photo shows an
ill fitting body and base! The exhaust pipes under the engine are fitted the wrong way around too.

Very interesting post Steve and Matchboxkiwi.
There is a "partial copy" of the argentine brand "Muky".The truck was not copied from Matchbox. May be hotwheels. But the house on the truck is a copie from Matchbox.

The 1964 Dodge Deora show truck could well be a Hot Wheels copy.
The original tooling was circa 1968 but it was retooled in 1994 so your photo may be a model from the original tooling.
Re: "MATCHBOX" copies etc.
Yes, AJR. basically all the cars of the brand "Muky" were copy of hot wheels. For example those that you can see in the pics.
Nevertheless look at the box with the word "Superveloz", That in Spanish means "Superfast".
