This is very similar to my previous Land Rover rescue vehicle with the Zodiac raft on the top. I got rid of the excess casting junk on the roof (that held the plastic luggage) and install some roof rails with adjustable cross bars. The other Landy was sort of a generic water rescue vehicle, this one is a beach rescue/lifeguard vehicle. Where I live, the lifeguards use surf boards to quickly get out beyond the breakwater and make a rescue. Hence the two surf boards latched down on the new all metal roof rack (only the surf boards are plastic). I upped my game on this one and went with matching painted wheel hubs and tires instead of the ole one piece black plastic wheels. I like the new wheels and tires much better. I'm considering painting the front bumper medium grey and detailing the headlights and grille. I hope a few of you might like it, I know I enjoyed making it! I've included the before pics along with a couple different views of the (maybe) finished model.
