Re: some nice prepros
For those readers who have viewed the images one small detail not mentioned in the 76 description is that on the 76 Cadillac base plate the rear wheels are held in by a dome head axle and it looks like the free end is cut clean.Idris wrote: Worth adding the blurb I think:
27c/76 Cadillac Sixty Special (Yellow Body With No Roof Rivet For The Windows, No Silver or Red Trim, Tow Hook, 9x20 Grey Plastic Wheels, Unpainted Baseplate With No.76 Cast)
NOTES: This model was intended to be No.76 prior to Matchbox changing their mind and limiting the Matchbox range to 75 models. Grey plastic wheels on this pre-pro, the first production models had silver plastic wheels.

Re: Hot tip offs (NO Live Auctions Please!)
I have uploaded some pictures of then axle ends on the pre-production 27 or should I say 76 Cadillac. The rear axle is not cut straight, it has been cut into a rough triangular shape.
The other end of the rear axle appears to be either a dome head, flattened somewhat as the shape is deformed, or it's a flat head.
The Front axle has a normal dome head but the other end appears to be hand crimped.
The full model in all her glory!
I have add pictures of the door handles and locks to this thread.

And Photo's of the 76 Cadillac 78 Triumph and 17 taxi with no base number to this thread.

Four early Yesteryears, $5 US each out-the-door (if you live in the States), and the option to make an offer...hope someone will buy them before I'm tempted to!

Edit: sold, and quickly. Hopefully a member of VBD got them.
