Hi Ghosty, sorry to hear about your upsets. One can only imagine the strain right now but know that your Dad is in our prayer and hopefully soon he would be good & about once again.
Keep the faith and love him more.
Get back on board soon as we all miss your mischief.

"tjlglass", "misterpop", "numi", "matchbox360" and of course you Alex, many thanks for your appreciative messages and thanks to all of you if I have missed you, you all are so kind.

So far my Dad is progressing with the walking and getting about by himself, he is hoping to go back home in less than the six weeks we are expecting him to be in the care home, but I would prefere him to stay for as long as possible to make sure of things, I will be visiting him again this Sunday (tomorrow the 26th) and will again tell him of all your thoughts and get well messages.

I have managed to get back to my home so I can type this to you and in fact I have been to the Windsor toy fair today and saw Jason (nearlymint), and not surprisingly, he had another little gem of a model he wanted to show me, a Ford 'D' series 'refuse' truck and we both agree that it is a bit special, I will let him tell you about it.

Because of my Father's problems, I had not intended to go to the Windsor toy fair, so of course had not been able to tell you of it's coming date, but as it happened, I know three of my cousins were visiting him today and I was not, so he himself encouraged me to go and have a bit of a break, it also gave me a chance to talk to the event organiser Mr John Garside, about my future talk on Rolls-Royce models, to the Maidenhead static model club, more details when I have them.

Sadly I will not be near the forum from Sunday (the 26th), onwards, until I am next at my home, sometime during the next week, so until then, thank's again for your friendship and goodwill to my Father.

Hello to all my friendly forum members.

A quick update on my Father. He has been back home for a week or so now and is just about getting around on his own, with a few aids. It his is legs that have suffered more than anything else form his Parkinson problem, with very slow jerky walking first thing in the morning, but then later he is fine and gets up out of his chair and walks around the room quite briskly and can do things like tidying up etc.

He has got his memory and his usual naughty mind back and looking forward to driving his car again!

I am staying with him until I am happy he is fully independent, but am in a position to visit him at virtually any time after that.

So, for now, things are not to bad, I have come home myself to send you this update, have a little look at whats gone onto the forum and to give my own car a run round the block, but after 8 PM tonight, I will be back at my Father's home.

So until next time guys, thanks for all your thoughts and messages, I will be in touch again soon,

Kevin, the GHOSTHUNTER.
