63B Foamite Crash Tender with green leaf springs.

I bought a very Mint silver nozzle Foamite from Joe Tinman with the very last style base on it with the closed hole. Because of the silver nozzles on the white springs, they were thought to be code one by Mike Stannard and us years ago, but your models prove that theory wrong Antonin. Nick has added your variation to his Guide in what I feel is it's proper place already. Boy that Nick is sharp today! Is your code one with the famed domed wheels Nick? kwakers

The 63b with the single faced wheels is not yet added to the list as only one of them has been found, The person that found it and sent it to vectis is a member here, If I remember correctly he bought it without knowing it had odd wheels and never paid any premium on it.

well done, it is pretty hard to get it. I have checked my models and found 2 x Foamite with green springs. The first one is with BPW ø12,5x40, the second one has BPW ø12,5x30.

Typically the variation with silver nozzle is by the models with the base plate with two triangular braces and white leaf springs. By checking my models I have found one very strange variation, silver nozzle on the model with base plate with eight triangular braces, no leaf springs, hole in base. That means that the silver nozzle could be theoretically found on the models with base plate with eight triangular braces, white leaf springs, hole in base.

My silver nozzle from Tinman with the closed rear spring hole I mentioned above, as well as yours with the rear hole through the spring mount are both unrecorded single models so far Antonin. They might show a bin of silver plated nozzles came out of storage and were used later completely out of timeline to known codes. Once they are mentioned at Nick's site, more will come out I am sure to bring them both up to coded variations.
It is also possible that we might also find the second style base with silver nozzles as you suggest Antonin. Could it be possible that these silver nozzles missed a last plating dip that would have turned them bright 'gold'?
It was always thought the early silver nozzles were code one, and because of the quantity of them still found today it is likely they were intentionally left silver for quite some time. After quite the quantity were produced, the silver nozzles were thought to have been changed to gold for added color or perhaps authenticity. Now that the green springs are believed to be first off the production line, the silver nozzles may have appeared less intentionally than we have always thought?
If we view these nozzles just like the plated ladders on top of the 9 C Fire Trucks, the silver examples may have also just missed their final plating dip. When production quantities are needed on the floor, 'shortcuts' may have resulted in the release of these silver non-finished accessories for both models at any point in their production life.
