Out of the running for a while... and back again!!

Post by Maestro »

I don't post that often myself on VBD, but therefor I read the new and active topics daily.
But I have the intention to post more in the near future.

However, that won't be in the next couple of weeks, for the day after tomorrow they expect me at the Maastricht University Hospital (MUMC) in the South of The Netherlands, where on this week's Thursday the 2nd of July I will get a heart operation (5 bypasses). The wise men and women overthere already told me I will be hospitalized for approx. 7-10 days, of which the last 3-4 days in the Hospital of Venlo (the city I live in). After returning home I will not be able to do much for there may not be any pressure on the chest. It's restricted to to anything (even the simplest things) which may cause any pressure or harm. Six weeks prohibited to drive my beautiful PT Cruiser, and all in all 6-8 months recovery.
But... at the beginning of August I hope to pick up things again, such as work (I have my office at home so only have to sit behind my PC), collecting and... normal life with hopefully much more energy!

Keep fingers crossed, I hope to return soon on the VBD forum!

Cheers,

Maarten
