Spot the gem(s)

Post by Maestro »

Who needs toyfairs nowadays? The web offers more than enough to my humble opinion!
Even some gems and models you expect to be Lesney but aren't...

Nice 15a in yellow! What is the story on the semi truck with the boxed matchbox load? I've never seen that before.

The semi truck was issued in 2000 as a Matchbox Collectibles item with two Matchbox Originals models (the nr. 9 Fire Escape and nr. 26 Cement Mixer) in a special colour combination for this set only.

For more information click on underneath link and scroll down quite a bit on the Matchbox Originals story by Ghosthunter on VBD:

The set is quite hard to find nowadays.

Lots of nice stuff! You placed the no vent hole Tippax in a position to be noticed so I thought I'd call it out too.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

The Jadali tanker and box is a hard one to find and has every right to be on a Matchbox forum because of its origins.

Did you notice that also the tractor is a Jadanette (Jadali)? Unfortunately without box, but also HTF.

Hi Maarten
I’ve never seen any Husky promo tankers except the Shell one, could you post some pictures of those that you have.

Thanks
