Hi guys,
I am a little confused with this one. I had the first Isle of Man TT Race Ford Model A promotional model way back in 1986 as a gift from my friend's parents who had been to the Isle of Man around the time and saw it. I treasured it and it is still mint. I have been meaning to build my collection of TT promos for years, but a few years ago I finally made a start. I have been working my way through the 1980s and recently was looking for 1990.
I have picked this up which is the one I knew I was looking for.
But I have also picked this up too.
I can't find any reference to it and thought I would ask if anybody knew anything about it?
A few shots of the pair together.
I tried doing a few shots of the bases. Both Macau, and both have rivets that look identical. However, the known one has the slightly updated base where the details all appear to be on a slightly raised section and the Matchbox logo is in the top corner rather then top central.
The unknown one has an extremely dark green runner board section (it's not black) and they both have the same KG 6567 rear license plate.
I'm very happy having both, but was just curious if anybody knew anything about that all-blue with very dark green runner board model.
For those interested, that look is very similar to the 1988 and 1989 issues. Both 1986 and 1987 had unique looks to them.

You are looking for a model with a green runner if I understand it good. Will surch in my big lot off this model.
