I found an interesting ring at the end of the base plate.

The 12b has a similar modification to the tow hitch, I have not seen the Beetle with this modification, can you send me some more pictures tomorrow, I think this might be an unlisted variation, well done!. Also what colour windows does it have?

Hi Mike,a few close-up pics/angles with table view of the V-raised area around the tow-hitch would also help.
