Today we have another one, which I chased for a long time.

Lovely - and in excellent condition too! Did you find it in Europe or the USA?

Found it in Germany.

Good point, by the way. Was there a discussion in the forum someday, where rare models correlated to the country they are mostly found?

What comes to my mind:
-Cream Mercury #62 in South Africa
-purple RW Volkswagen #67 in Canada
-Green Hillman Minx #43 in Netherlands and Sweden
-Gold RW Lincoln Continental #31 in US ?
...

Got this little lot last week. I thought, the Aston looks interesting, as there shoud exist a gloss red Aston Martin according to Stannard.

But, no luck this time. It´s a repaint.

But it turned out, that the Triumph has a biff rivet, so, not too bad at all.

I think lots of us have bought repainted Astons hoping they might be the real thing! I have one. The Triumph is a great find and in fabulous condition too.

Nice score on the prime mover!

Back around 2005, a well known faker/fraudster was selling off some plain run-of-the-mill models that had NOT been tampered with. One of the models was a very minty 6c that he sold for $10 (USD). The white hydrosleve could just barely be seen in one of his photos. Somehow, he missed picking up on the fact that he had an actual valuable model that would have gone for at least 10 times as much. After inspection upon arrival, it was indeed genuine and not tampered with. He had cheated so many unsuspecting people with his fake rare models ... I slept very well that night.
