In an attempt to get this topic back on track, could the redundant process have been grenodisation but, if so, why was it only "apparently" redundant and why did the author feel he had to keep quiet about it?Idris wrote:"...an apparently redundant process which I think I'd better keep quiet about..."
I'm intrigued! Anyone got any ideas?

I've been wondering about this too. It seems like it was a process that Lesney had stopped but didn't want competitors to know about. Had they found a new way to peen axles that was superseded quickly by Superfast? Or was it plating bases so they didn't need painting? I don't think either of these is right!Idris wrote:In an attempt to get this topic back on track, could the redundant process have been grenodisation but, if so, why was it only "apparently" redundant and why did the author feel he had to keep quiet about it?Idris wrote:"...an apparently redundant process which I think I'd better keep quiet about..."

YES,
After a 4 month every day search I finally found this magazine.
Thank you for mentioning the correct issue.
It is quite a rare magazine.
Other issues from the same year were widely on Ebay but I only now found. this one:
