That is an Austin 7, and i believe I am correct in saying that it is a pre-war example too.

Nice little car, I've seen these occasionally but usually missing the wire screen and driver. There's a link on Nick's site below: I'm not sure if this also came in a military set, someone may be able to help:

It is part of the 35 series of dinky cars,as a rough rule vehicles with grey/white wheels are prewar,black rubber would be post war,they tend to suffer from fatigue but are very popular even parts of them.

Definitely pre war as this timeframe only had the wire windscreen frame. Post war didn't have the frame. The damage is also a dead give away for pre war as the initial years metal quality wasn't great with lots of contamination of lead and other factory detritus swept off the floor.
