Quite a Small Model!

Post by GHOSTHUNTER »

As an acomplished model maker (I was making models long before I became involved in collecting them), I like to look at some every now and again as they get discovered within the many boxes of stuff still in storage.

On my facebook page I showed a picture of the smallest Rolls-Royce I had ever made so as I have the pictures handy, I thought you might like to see it as well.

There, thats better. Now you can see how small a centimetere model Rolls-Royce looks when parked next to something most of you will know.

I wonder how many of those were ingested by children

Edit

Should have read all the posts and realised it was a "one off"

Two thin strips of white plasticard glued together. bumpers, grille, mascot and bonnet trim strip are various metals. Plastic front number plate sticky label rear number plate. Wheels are also plastic.

Here it is before any pre-painting preperation.

The length at 1cm (10 mm) gives it a scale close to 1/507th. It is based on a 1980 Silver Spirit saloon.

In Russian folklore there is a fairy tale about a master who savvy a flea. His name was Lefty. In English, his name is Ghosthunter.
