Another interesting article (especially the contents of the last paragraph which I haven't seen highlighted elsewhere).

That is a good thing to do: read posts you've previously passed over and expand your knowledge base. Interacting with our collections is also a good "social distancing" activity: re-arranging displays, cataloging, tackling restoration projects, and even bombing your beaters across the floor (or tabletop, if you prefer).

From The Guardian's Covid 19 blog today: "On some estimates the UK economy is on course to shrink by 15% in the second quarter of 2020. That is not a recession, it is a collapse surpassing anything in modern times, including the Great Depression".

I fully retired this year and have never been so busy. Redecorated lounge, dining room, kitchen & entrance way as well as concert going, sport, shopping and socialising. The last week has seen a big change. All sport, from Junior to Senior level has been cancelled, so no hockey and all concerts have been cancelled. Even going out for the day you have to think about how crowded it will be as NZ Government advises no indoor gathering of 100+ people and keeping physical distancing to 1 metre (luckily on the golf course we're all over the place and only get close on the tee & green).

Decided to have a big tidy up of my toy room, everything out of cupboards, out of the room, cleaned and then decided to reorganise and have all on display. Like misterpop said it was great to spend time with the collection and enjoy it again. Also might be time to sell off the duplicates.

I retired 3 years ago, and still wonder how I ever found time to go to work! Always something to do.
