The perplexing side to collecting boxes here are 3 type B5 boxes but

on the face every one is different. on the top box the letter "S: is on the front door,

so many different variations. OH the joys of collecting the boxes as well as the models.

Great picture George, just started listing my boxes. Amazing how many variations there are.

Thank you J, just another interesting part of collecting, so many differences in all the boxes.

Good stuff—Yes, the boxes are fascinating and so many variations! Love the 59a’s!
With the “stay at home” order in place here, I have been updating my cataloging including my boxes.
Have used Matchbox Pats site a lot and learning something new all the time.
Have been working on the RW boxes with “New Model “ on them. Getting closer but still lacking a dozen or so. From the few B boxes thru the numerous E boxes and a handful of F’s.
Stay home and stay safe for now...... :)

Durangokid, from the feed back on the posts it seems that little interest is shown

about the boxes which is a pity. As the boxes are just as collectable as the model variations.

Boxes are fun for sure. I think I have 3 different boxes for the green 64 MG. So I have 3 green mg's in my display case.

Wish they would have made some models in more colors.

I agree, Matchbox Pat's site is a great source of information and certainly first call when checking boxes. I notice that an increasing number of sellers are splitting their auctions selling model & box separately and early boxes appear to get a premium. It does seem harder to get quality boxes at good prices.
