I'm brand new to this forum and last week searched on ebay for this model. It comes in, as you can imagine, different states of condition and one in particular looked good but had bright red wheel hubs, the same colour as the bus itself! I suspected that it may have been repainted and contacted the seller to ask if it had. She said she was selling on behalf of her brother and he had over 40 years experience and would never buy anything unless it was original! I haven't seen another model of this type with red wheels have you? I do know that LT had dark red wheel hubs on the real thing. I'm also confused about which models prior to 1970s had rubber tyres. There were spun hub wheels which I think had rubber tyres, then die cast wheels which might have had either, finally the whizzwheels definitely had plastic. Correct me if I'm wrong

We'd need a photo to tell for sure. Some of the Routemasters from the 1990's had red hubs but of a much newer design.
