The Gray tires are obviously from a newer John Deere tractor as has been noted. So, some tampering has taken place (wheel swap) and it can not be considered "original" having the incorrect tires. That's why it's NOT a Nick's code 4. What's more concerning is the dodgy reputation of the seller of this model. Since so much is going on with the model, it bears close scrutiny before it can be assumed that those rear hubs left the factory on that model. When something comes into one's possession from a known dodgy seller, it places a cloud over any item that's hard to find or rare. Such would be the case with this model. I don't mean to sound insulting or condescending: But, when someone doesn't notice something as significant as the model having the wrong tires, it takes away a lot of credibility with one's claim that "it's original."
So what's the big deal and questions over a $50.00 model? It's the fact that if the model passes for "Original" or "Genuine" it could then change hands again at a significantly more expensive price. In the past, there have been several individuals who have attempted to use their posts on the VBD as a back handed way of "certifying" that a model is legit. Sooo ... there's the why and what for concerning everyone's questions about the model - especially when the the OP immediately goes on the defensive about their claim that the model is "Original" rather than being interested about what might possibly be suspect with said model (particularly when one fails to spot a key identifying feature).

I am guilty of perhaps being too direct (or too blunt) with my pointing out the obvious. Not wanting to start a war of words or opinions.Idris wrote:I can see that the temperature's rising so, before things get out of hand, a gentle reminder of all to remain polite and to treat each other with respect at all times.
