14d Iso Grifo Dark Blue with white interior

Post by nearlymint »

Just picked up this model today, first one I have ever come across.
Checking the model over I can say that this is a genuine model, model is very playworn and I had to add some donor doors.

Does any one else have one of these just out of interest.

Hollow tyres makes it a late issue, especially as we know about ½ of all light blue thin wheels issues have solid tyres -so it all looks genuine from pics -hopefully giving it a pull doesnt pop off the baseplate to reveal a rivit transplant !!

This base does not pull off at all, no traces of glue at all or anything else. J

Thanks Alex, never sure with these ones until you get a good look at it. Now have my 3 interior colours together.

That's a great find Jason, it looks so obvious in your nice photos but it's very difficult to see in most listings.

Very nice find Jason! I do have one as well. I am often amazed at how a bad flash artifact can cause a light blue interior to look perfectly white. I've been fooled a few times in my search for this one.

Thanks David, I had given up trying to find one.
I know it's play worn but I had to have it.
All the best

IMHO the Iso with white interiour looks best. Imagine in real: metallic blue, white leather seats, wooden steering wheel and all around spoke wheels.
And last but not least the most beautiful italian lady beside you....... ;)

Hijacking an old Grifo thread. I just received a VERY DARK blue SF 14A (obvious in hand compared to a dark blue example). Bought it for its gorgeous F1 box, so that shade difference came as a happy surprise. I checked the inner roof to put it at the right place in my detailed list. Hole in the clear window plastic, OK, but I guess I also see a roof pin. Do you ? Very dark blue Grifo is on the left of my picture. Wheel numbers : 7 - 36 - 1 - 27.
