I deliberately bought the white metal grill rather than the chrome one as I thought it fitted in with the age better..Now its indeed dulled down a lot and looks spot on..

I have research this model, contacted members of the Rolls-Royce register but no one seems to know the real car.

Frank Hornby did own a Rolls-Royce and I think that this may be a model of his.

The Dinky Toys Rolls-Royce is based on a 1935 20-25 H.P. chassis with a 2 door / 4 light saloon-coupe body by Gurney Nutting. The chassis number of this car is GRF 18 and first registered ''BXM 828''.

The original cream color reminds me of the pre-Corgi Mettoy Rolls-Royce that came in three different scales.
