GWWP, I should be able to make the December NEC meet this year, and I was hoping it might be possible to organise a small Forum meet-up.
If Members could post their interest here, we can then make further arrangements including the models other Members would like to see.
As a starter, I would suggest that everyone brings their non-metallic green 45c Ford Group Sixes. Let's see just how many we can gather together in one place. (If it's more than three, it'll beat the existing World record, already held by VB). I'll also bring an SF19 Lotus Yum Yum and a yellow-hubbed 4a (both available for trade, hint, hint).

I can attend and can stay until around 11am, when I have to go to work. I'll bring a few 1-75s with me for your expert assessment!
Cheers

The weather looks fine, so I should be at the NEC tomorrow. Is anyone else definitely going?
Re: NEC Friday, 27th December, 2019
I shall be there selling my display cases as usual.
Re: NEC Friday, 27th December, 2019
PM sent to all who have confirmed planned attendance.

Well, the toy fair has been and gone. I went, and was pleased to be able to renew acquaintances with Dave (Leonty24) and Glenn (DrJeep), and to meet John (jsherwood) for the first time - always good to finally be able to put a face to the name.
Dave was manning his stall, but John, Glenn, and I had a good natter for the best part of an hour, with everybody having brought goodies to view/discuss. Furthermore, we had all found something for our respective collections, although it was thin pickings for John and I. I came away with just a playworn SF74b having a pink body and a red base - not a combination I've seen before, even though it's catalogued.
What I would say is that my lack of purchases did not reflect what was on offer today, with there being plenty of quality Matchbox, both RW and SF, for sale. I even found a couple of big boxes of mixed RW/SF tat to go through (just like the old days!)

Great to see Hugh again and meet John and Dave. Sadly we didn't manage the Ford Group 6 record, but Hugh, John and I had a good hour comparing finds. Here are a few of the interesting items on display...
Hugh's blue 6a quarry truck (surely a Euclid!) along with a normal 6a and a rather pale grey one that I've just acquired. The blue is hard to describe but very striking - this picture isn't too far off, I think.
Hugh's lovely 14c Lomas with a roof cross with a silver-wheeled 14c with roof-cross casting I got today (£1 well spent, I think!) and a normal 14c that cost me £2.
I'll pop a picture of my other finds in the "look what I just got" area. There was quite a lot there today - and so many people! Even at 9.30 it was quite full; by normal opening at 10.30 there were hundreds of people in the queue.

Great to meet Hugh and Glenn today, to provide insight on a few of my models. I arrived late but still found a couple of cheap items at the fair to add to my collection - total £5
A Monteverdi Hai with the 16 label from the 34 F1 Racing Car, and a 27c Caddy with 9x36 Grey Plastic Wheels and Black Base (the interior casting and trim checks out with nick's variation 22)
Hope you see you again sometime
Cheers
