The Very Best of 2019

Post by Idris »

As for each of the last two years, there will be no 'End of Year Poll'. Instead, Members are once again invited to use this thread to show their two most significant finds/acquisitions of 2019 to the Forum. (Please keep it to only two since this will help to maintain quality and also prevent the thread from becoming overly long.)

Very difficult to match or top that unless someone here has a green or maroon Spyker!

At the begining of the year I secured this Y-10 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 'Preproduction' model. Of the known pre-pro's in existance, this is in a colour that almost made it to full production, a colour shade known by Lesney as Dusk Grey. Full production issues were in a lime green over a very dark brown and very unrealistic!

I was also pleased to receive as a gift an old stock status #24c Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and amazingly a short while after I purchased another identical example of ebay.

I just love that Miura Reg, I’m still looking for an example for my collection.

The nice Matchbox Display Unit, and the 33asf model with a tow guide.

I also got the 1st casting of the 66a Citroen model.

I’ve picked up a few nice pieces this year, I was particularly happy with these two.
