Silly Prices

Post by petethesweet »

Hi all, Has anybody noticed the silly prices what some of the sellers are trying to get on Ebay, i think there must be a lot of newbie sellers on there at the moment. If you look at completed sales you will notice only one or two things are sold in a list of 200. Pete.

There always seem to be people offering both junk and common issues for sky-high prices.
I wish Ebay had a filter for repeat listings!

unfortunately few other outlets...so still a good place to search for world wide coverage but..
likely to only get worse......corporate greed is the driver
would not be 170K MB items listed /USA(try to look at and compare/track facts on more than 50K)
I have asked for "x seller" blocking....would make lookup/search 5 minutes not 2 hours.

with the "new" back end fees of 6-18% , have only managed to buy 10 items this year.
+inflated shipping seller fees... $1 car has to start at $6+costs to give legit seller $1net
they will never offer filters or monitors, why do you think everything went secret(inclusive of feedback info redacted)
this is across ALL items
wheel swap phil is small fry!
ebay makes the suggested $ and a lot more apps available ,for rent a space sellers(they hope items NEVER sell, more rent)
have watched /tracked 1000,s of items
recent commercial item $20K ask
sold 7x in last 6 months real value < $10K
feedback 5 perfect * super seller item as new ($15-18K)
(win for $13K) 6th feedback slipped thru 100% negative "after driving 6 hours with transport to pick up machine, was not the model or condition as advertised in photos"
it SOLD again (7x)for $16K.....!

You can exclude a list of sellers from search results, then save the search so you only have to do it once.

Using a browser,

1) Make a note of ebay user id's that you want to remove from results (this is the name next to their feedback score - usually something like dave1234)
2) Click on 'advanced' to the right of the Blue 'search' button
3) Under 'Enter keywords', type what you're searching for, then select your features such as auction / Buy it now, (sort order at the bottom of page)
4) Scroll down to the sellers section, and select the 'Only show items from:'
5) Click the arrows next to 'include' to change it to 'exclude'
6) Enter the user id - If excluding more than one seller, separate them with commas, for example: dave1234, john2345, fred3456
7) Click the blue search button at the bottom of the page
8) To save this search, save it as a bookmark / favourite on your browser, or you can click the heart next to 'save this search' on the results page.

Cheers

John
will give that a try but only expect it to lower MB items < 10K from 170K MB items

here is a sample of GREEEEE D
$120 for 20oz jam
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FROG-Jams-Jell ... SwpNxdmXGf

$192 for 25 oz cereal
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Raisin-Bran-Wh ... Sw1h5dc6DC
problem is these were $2.89 retail, retailers took a pay off to carry competing brand only at $3.25

But it’s the special collectors edition of Raisin Bran so it’s totally worth $192!
