You’ve found the weak link:
Most of my 14c Lomas ambulances have both doors but on these early ones, the white one has one door and the cream one is missing both doors. Not perfect but I’m happy to have them.

I’m quite hopeful with this find.
It is not labeled but I think it is an early pre-Lesney cement mixer. The color combination with light green chassis, orange barrel and dark grey wheels seems less common. It’s similar to one shown in a Vectis listing on Nick page (6th Vectis listing from the top with 3 mixers in one lot). MOYboy also shows one in photos of his Pre-Lesney models listed in the pre Lesney/MOY thread.

Both the round handle as well as the C shaped handle on the engine cover are present.

The axel is crimped at both ends.

This is the first pre-Lesney I’ve found ‘in the wild’ (at a flea market, no less) so I am very pleased.

It’s been fairly quiet for new acquisitions for me so far this year.

I recently stopped in a little country antique shop where the owner was selling diecast for $2 a piece. Most are fairly common models but one lot in particular is very minty.

They were all together in a 1966 era Matel storage case. It looks like they had not left the storage case since 1969. Most are perfect or near perfect with only a few flea bites. The tire treads looks like they never left the carpet. The blue paint on the site truck, tractor and particularly on the hay trailer is somewhat tacky. The other colors are fine.

The second batch from the same store came from a different case and obviously saw a lot more play action.

Too bad the gpw Scammell plow was so abused. Since it is only the 2nd one I’ve ever seen in the hand and since it was only $2, I bought it. I will do some splinting to make it a bit more display-able.
Most of these (except the 51a Albion Chieftain) are duplicates for me but for $2 each, I couldn’t leave them behind. The decals on the51a are complete.

The third batch came from Jason Nearly Mint. (Thank you Jason)

(These were more than $2 each, but well worth the price!). For me, the co-stars are the yellow hub Fordson 72a and the no-vent-hole Tippax 15c. I’ve never seen either of these two in the hand after more than 30 years of collecting here in North America.
