Factory Drawings

Post by YYS4BOB »

As there are some in the Dinky section, I thought I'd post some here.

These are very big, 48 inches long by 30 inches high.

Note these drawings are for the proposed Y16 Packard Dietrich, which became the Y15 Packard Victoria in production. I have a model designated as per these drawings, and know there was another recorded in Australia at one time, but where that model is now I don't know.

didn't know you had these drawings Bob or didn't remember you had them :D

Nice to see these with the model you have.
If Alex ever goes to publish a further English book this would be nice to add.

Not much chance of that now as far as I know. He has photos of the model. but can't remember if he took any of the drawings.

Clearly states "full size" on the drawing. I specifically showed that.

clearly doesnt show on every ones screen or would not ask
but then why would it take 3 48'"x 30" sheets to show a life size toy windscreen
most of us cant get full view if only in tiny ghost image

Images are loaded to suit a 17 inch screen. if you have a smaller older screen, right click on the image and open it in a new tab. You can then see the whole image. Or copy/download it to your files then you can enlarge it to suit yourself.

Thank you for sharing Bob.
Fascinating to see the diemaker’s work plans and the 3D physical mock up together.
These well may be unique pieces of Lesney history.

(For those of us viewing on a phone, we (or I at least) see only about 3/4 of the horizontal dimension of the photo. My screen cuts them off just to the right of the 1967 stamp. )

Thank you for giving us a chance to see these treasures.

Very interesting. The high complexity of something that seems simple.
