SF6 FORD PICK-UP LUNCHBOX SPECIAL OR EXTREME FACTORY ERROR?

Post by TOYRFIC »

I was wondering if possibly someone in the factory made this one for personal taste? It has a bunch of quality control issues! A lot for a error model?
-Missing the window insert.
-I purchased it on eBay without a canopy, added one from a beater regular wheel.
-The rear wheel diameter is too large, won't roll. Wheel assembly looks similar to the ones found on the SF13 Dodge Wreck Truck.
-Rivet looks good but when spun caused the base to warp in.
What do you folks think?

Looks like a factory error, some one put the wrong bin of wheel hubs on assembly line. Wonder if the window unit was damaged when the rivets were spun and the base and body distorted, and someone removed the glass as a result who knows. Interesting piece.

Unusual to get a couple of errors on the same model and you would think if the operator was having a problem with the glazing and seating of the baseplate for riveting, she would have left it alone to one side for the chargehand to sort out.

Thanks for showing it here and placing it the Factory Errors section.

Looks like a factory error piece to me. Possible end of the line model or end of the day model.
Assembly line ran of of parts - no windscreen and possibly out of wheels too.
Nice find!

The first two pics look to me like there is fitted narrow wheels to the front and wide wheels to the back.
