60a commer j2 builders supply trim
I have two commer j2 pick ups with unusual trim, They are both the first release with black lettered decals and gpw on crimped axles, one has gold trim and one has a mix of gold and silver trim, I want to know if anyone else has come across either of these please.

Very interesting, Nick! As we have seen time and time again, gold trim keeps on popping up in the most unexpected places, and I firmly believe that there are still a number of normally silver-trimmed models bearing gold trim which are yet to be identified.
All my 60a models have the standard silver trim.

Looking at Nick's models, I find myself wondering whether the move to silver trim was not only motivated by realism (as ever more chrome was used), but also because it wore better than the gold.

I've checked my early ones and they're all silver trimmed. The trim on the other models that I've come across, which is a gold/silver mix, doesn't seem to have endured too well.Idris wrote:Looking at Nick's models, I find myself wondering whether the move to silver trim was not only motivated by realism (as ever more chrome was used), but also because it wore better than the gold.
