Any chance you could show a photo of the underside of the two resin bed mounting blocks in the middle please.
I have seen a few types of these and the securing methods differ.

These look interesting. Some look like fully painted but unpressed model parts but others look like factory mold components

For those of us not familiar with factory components, can someone give a bit of background on what is shown and how they were used (especially the resin bases)?

Thanks Dave and hello Kurt, impeccable timing, was just about to reply to Dave so here you go.

Some of these mounting blocks were quite intricate and others very basic yet effective. My understanding is about 100 were in use at a time as they passed the label application machine.
A little while back I had the chance to study a couple of similar mounts for tampo print application.
These would be set up on conveyor and the body shell placed on the resin block. The all important part of process is the speed of machine so that the labels do not get applied to wrong part, hence why we see OOPS models. A lady would be removing body shells after label applied and adding a new one quickly and carfully.

The block on the right (top image) looks to have a tampo print but I am thinking they used the same block for label application. The model in question is the 31 Volkdragon which label wise had the EYES label or a flower. Usually on the bonnet but sometimes on the roof. The model for the tampo is the LS RN 06 VW Lady Bug and from a distance the the tampo or label are hard to tell apart.

What I like about the tampo print is the ability to apply to such a curve as per the bonnet of the VW Ladybug.

I am glad the items are of interest,imagine now how i felt when after talking for ages to a collector he bought a box out and got out about 20 of these jigs and i would guess over 100 unpressed castings ,he was very kind and let me buy some of his doubles,they were all superfast so i am not that knowledgeable about superfast but the earliest unpressed casting i would say was the vw camper in orange and the run carried on to the end and closure .
He let me have these as long as they were for my collection and not resale has he knows how rare they are and historic he also as my telephone number so fingers crossed for the future.
