Easy spot the gem - and a question

I'm sure you can see why I picked up this lot, predominantly made up of transitional Superfasts, for £11 including postage.

The question is about the pink Draguar - not a model I've ever owned before, so I really know very little. The base has the wider brackets for the exhausts, but the 0 in 1970 is very faint. Is this normal for this model?

Nice little group you have secured there.
With respect to the 0 in the 1970 on the 36 I have just checked three that reside in my desktop display case. In each case you can see that the zero was milled to a slightly different size. On a pink model the print is shallow and central but on two of my red versions one has the bottom of the zero in line with other numerals, but on the other it is in line with the top. These are much more raised than the pink one. I am thinking there could be more than three base plate moulds for this model and one mould did not get a deep engraving for the 0.
I will check my played with versions and see if there is one that is as faint as yours.

yes, that's the one I bought them for!

I don't think these are particularly scarce but they're quite hard to find in reasonable condition, as most seem to have spent plenty of time moving soil and sand in the garden! Both the Mercedes are also worth having: I think yellow with the red interior is least common. Both these have hollow thin wheels, but I have another cream one with solid wheels.

Thanks, Bert - I think four bases would make sense. Someone - I think Tim - said that the final digit was missed from the mould in the later months of the year to give Lesney flexibility with the launch date. Four times as much work finishing it, though. Not my favourite model - whoever heard of an E-type with a V8?
