A story i remember reading is that the fire damaged toys were taken to a tip by lorry and buried, the lorry drivers were told not to touch the stuff but one was found with a toy and was sacked.(1960,s fire)
i have just read a bit that they was a" recent" fire that resulted in part of the factory being demolished,is it possible for some bits to turn up in this incidence

Can that story be true?
Re: Can that story be true?
Quite possible Dave. In my employment contract there were things like - cameras were not allowed inside the factory without permission, and sharing of company information was not allowed.
My dad recalls having to smash unwanted moulds (at Harlestone Road) with a sledgehammer so they could not be used after being sold for scrap.
