Re: Martin Avis.
Hello everyone,
Thanks for all the good wishes.
I got home on Monday evening. I felt okay when I left hospital but went into a bit of a decline as soon as I got home and have been sleeping a lot. Feeling a bit better today and have spent an hour having a coffee in the local shopping mall, trying to feel normal again.
They tell me that I should eventually have a full, or close to full, recovery, but I'm impatient!
At least I'm able to swallow again - albeit in a very spluttery way! That's a relief!
Best wishes,
Martin

Re: Martin Avis.
I still have difficulty swallowing, even coffee sometimes.
My right arm is not as strong as it was either, And my memory has bits missing but its not a problem because I don't know what is missing lol.
But seeing younger men than myself in the stroke ward being reduced to being completely unable to do a thing for themselves made me realise just how lucky I was and for that I will be eternally grateful.
But you will see a slight improvement each day, it takes time, I was told it will take 2 years for my recovery to run its course.
Good luck Martin.

Re: Martin Avis.
welcome back Martin!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

Great to have you back Martin.

So glad you're home Martin, hope you're progress continues (does it mean you've got to cut back on the gambling, drinking, womanizing, etc?)
