Going by the black wheels I would say the example shown in the above pictures is a late issue. I know the first versions of these Toby Toy models had tinplate type wheels.
It seems the spring for the rear axles is missing or it is an adaptation to replace the spring I was not aware of.

I am assuming this Toby Toy is now yours Gary. If so, can you get a better picture of the wheels so we can perhaps confirm what type they are because what I can see of the back wheel does sort of make it look tinplate.ClOwY wrote:on one pic it shows a spring which goes through the rear axel .
