red Victor?

Post by DrJeep »

did anyone here win this lot? I'd like to know if it's the bargain of the year or a repaint. I thought the colour wasn't quite right, but I'd be glad to be wrong! Not a bad lot for under £40 anyway.

Funnily enough I had the opening bid on this lot, only low, and it was more out of curiosity. I wasn't convinced with the colour in the photo (the bus is a good marker) and there were also 4 of 5 signs of possible yellow paint in places, so I didn't pursue it.

I would be more interested in the Zodiac.

I’d have probably gone to £20 because the Austin taxi and the Budgie Rover look quite good. Ghosthunter’s brighter picture makes the colour look right, but I also thought it looked too close to the colour of the bus. I thought the Zodiac was an obvious repaint but after Jason’s comment I need to look again!

You could be right but a very good colour match, can imagine waiting for these to come and unwrapping them.
Will either be a throw out the window or cracking open a beer.

Let's hope someone will be cracking open a beer

This is the Zodiac from a different angle, I looked at it initially and just assumed it was a repaint due to the patchy roof:

To me, that doesn't look like a factory paint finish.
