Re: Ghosthunter collects these...
Here are some of my 'LLEDO' models.
Dark and light Green seats here. Copper and Gold plated versions. A simple 'Copper' painted version here. The underside of the Copper plated model. Note the cast mounting pillar for fixing the model to such items as Ashtrays etc. A 'JANUS' promotional model here. A 'GODE' promotional model here. The 'JANUS' model out of it's box. This is the very First issue/version from Lledo of their 1907 Silver Ghost. The base just has the 'DG 32' catalogue number, but this same baseplate was used for the 2 seater 'Coupe' version Silver Ghost, numbered as 'DG 45'. Its clear from just these pictures above, Lledo thought this model was worth keeping in production and had it recoloured several times, but unlike Lesney, the model was not modified with casting changes and Lledo did not add extra strengthening braces here and there!
(Ignore the descriptions under the pictures (SAM-1234 etc), they are simply to allow posting on another website)

Kevin, I didn't even know Lledo made a Roller like this one. From the top side I would have guessed it was a Lesney Yesteryear for sure.

The Lledo Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost shown above was designed by the same designer as the Lesney example, so no wonder they often get labelled as the Lesney model.

I promised to myself I would not mess up Mum's bedroom on her passing. Here are some pictures of how it looks at the moment.
Novelty Rolls-Royce radios in the corner in front of the tv.
A few mixed models on the bed.
More novelty radios.
Novelty radios.
Yet more novelty radios.
Matchbox Models of Yesteryear.
A line up of Yesteryear Rolls-Royce Fire Engines. Only from the 1978 production period.
Oh, some have got into Mum's top cupboard, how did that happen!!

Thanks Guys. What you see there is only the tip of the iceburg so in displaying a large part of the collection would need an enormous amount of space, something I don't see coming my way any day soon.johnboy wrote:That's an impressive sight Ghosty, I hope you can get them displayed one day.
Then there is the Bentley collection. The picture below is a selection I was able to lay my hands on for the Maidenhead Static Model Club's special Bentley club night about a month ago.
