Prototypes/Pre-Pro's and other stuff!

Post by grifterkid »

Hello to you all...

I am a long time lurker and a massive fan of Matchbox as they were my toy of choice when I was much (much, much!) younger.

A quick question (as there may be other threads relating to this) but I would like to garner any information on the Matchbox 'could have beens'...!

I have seen a couple in the shape of an Aston Martin DBS and a Pontiac GTO also thanks to this very forum ( https://www.vintagebritishdiecasts.co.u ... f=8&t=5235 ) but I would love to know what could have been!!!

There must have been so very many models that were on the drawing boards during the height of Matchbox-Lesney years...?!

If you know of anything let us all know...

Not a regular wheel but an interesting YY I have. Based on the larger Y5 - 2, it has been modified into an Aston Martin, presumed by Ken. It is around the same size as the Y5 - 1 now. A very interesting model and also have a photo of the Aston Martin to go with it and very like the real car.
