Rolls Royce
Re: Rolls Royce
Thanks for all the advice and pointing me in the right direction. With me being new I thought a mint model would be the best way to buy. But I will be grateful if any members can have a look for the same type of model from a trusted buyer I can purchase from on eBay.

Kindest Regards
Kevin

Re: Rolls Royce
Kevin, we are happy to help but we can not be seen to be giving a forum member an advantage in securing models from ebay or the other auction websites.
Go back to the site you saw your original choice rolls-royce and look at the other models on offer as there are a few 'Buy It Now' models for a much lower price than the one you originally wanted.
There is also one priced at over £100 because the seller says the baseplate does not have a patent number!! this a perfectly normal common variation so do not be tempted to buy it thinking you have something special. Likewise there is a silver example by another seller looking like a preproduction silver shadow, it is not so again not worth buying.

Re: Rolls Royce
I understand Ghosty I have been back onto the eBay site and purchased the same model but keenly looked over the pictures before purchasing and at the same time I could not resist buying a No 69c Rolls Royce silver shadow coupe convertible.

Kindest Regards

Re: Rolls Royce
It is but please don't think I plough hundreds of pounds into my hobby to get all those as I don't. I have just been lucky in buying as many examples as I can for a reasonable price then studied them in close up to sort out which are the earlier examples etc. As you see them in the picture they are displayed in their 'Time-Line' order, an order as close as possible to how Lesney introduced them onto the market in the first place.TinTin wrote:Wow blooming hell Ghosty that’s a lot of variations.
