Hi restoration professor's,
here I have a nice 8B wildcat dragster. As I was a child, I overpainted it.
As you can see not really good.
A few weeks ago I decided to strip the colour off.
Here is the result:
Interesting as the Mustang was without colour I could take it apart without force and without damaging the rivets.
The only problem was the glazing unit, it broke while polishing.
I'm undecided what to do now. Put it together or paint it?
I've seen a few water sliding decals on eBay.
Regards
SF

Re: 8b Wildcat Dragster
I actually like it as it is and would just put it back together. There is something about bare metal models that attracts me and with those bright Yellow seats and White engine, it looks great!

Not really further in the progress and result with this dragster, but I've recently chromed the hubs again.
I've seen this on youtube, I'm speechless how easy this is.
I've bought a chrome pen via eBay Germany. I've painted all 4 hubs within one minute. Looks factory made. So please pay attention if you are willing to buy ultra rare Matchbox models with chrome hubs.
This year I saw two or three ultra rare military Matchbox Superfast with chrome hubs on ebay: for example SF 1 Mercedes Truck oliv and a SF 32 Field gun, all with these hubs and all outside a blister.
