Here´s a contribution: A very nice Cresta in excellent condition. So what's wrong? Well, according to Lesley, it is not a Cresta at all!
The dumper is perhaps a bit hotter with pimped rear wheels.

That 22b/43a hybrid (should we call it a 32.5ab? ) is absolutely astounding. I am amazed by the fact that not only the rivet posts but also the wheel arches line up (more or less). Also, given the fact that it is unlikely to be a one-off, it is surprising that this hybrid hasn't been spotted before.

I found this new in the store in 1982.
The baseplate is reflected in a mirror under the model.

It reminds me of this one offered by a USA ebay dealer who advertised a 27c with 39b base about three years ago. This would be a 33bc and be known as a Pontillac.

The wheel arches line up really well but the rivet posts don't - the base of the Hillman is a couple of millimetres longer. I think this would only work if the Hillman base was curved to fit onto the Vauxhall body. I wonder if this was done deliberately for fun by someone in the factory, and that's why we haven't seen others. But what a great find!

It is one of the earlier production models with paper labels. Tampo printing wasn't phased in until later.
