Young Sheldon.

This highly amusing show is a prequel to the funniest American TV show I know of and watch religiously...The Big Bang Theory.

Young Sheldon is set in the mid to late 80,s and Sheldon is a train enthusiast and during the opening establishing shot of the very first episode we see Sheldon playing with a model railway layout. Placed at various places around the layout we can see several matchbox models mixed with a few hot wheels and some basic plastic toy cars.

I have been watching old reruns in black and white of the Avengers and Danger Man. They are shown only on the weekends. I really enjoy looking for the ''REAL'' Matchbox models when they show the traffic in the different city's. Most of the episodes took place in the early 60's. I am surprised of how many models you can find during these shows. It is amazing how heavy the traffic was back then in the big city's.

A couple of pictures from the 1966 film 'Thunderbirds Are Go'. We see the mighty Zero X space ship during the long process of its preperation ready for lift off into space.

Dotted around the airfield are numerous model (toy) cars, some of which are from the Matchbox range.

I have left them in a large file size so regrettably have the scroll bars which by using the bars on each picture you will see the models at their best. If you only click on the pictures you won't!
