Gift Set “G1”

Post by Viewfield »

Couldn’t resist this:

It’s very nearly mint with just a wee bit of rub on the models and the flags still on the spree. Box isn’t the best but still has its shrink-wrap (well some of it).

Had to unpack it and have a little play.

Will however be sold on.

cool set man!
Please use a web hosting site (like photobucket) to store pictures so you can post them here, using attachments makes it hard to view the pictures when you have to scroll to see them. Seeing comparisons of models is hard to see with attachments too.

the red Fiat was only made in this color for this set.
All single red Fiat's offered later as a single came from this set.

Nice set. Think there were four or five models with BP logos. These two, Routemaster, six wheel explorer - maybe one more. Be great to see them all together. Perhaps it’s Esso livery featuring across five models. Well done

Very nice - I have a similar set but missing the plastic insert for the vehicles.
Is it possible to post a photo of the insert so I can have a look at what it is like and then I can look for something similar to fit my set.
Tried looking on line for vehicles that come in an insert but not sure exactly what to look for.
Thank you.

Many thanks Rod, a lot bigger than I thought but now I can print out copies of photos and keep with me to look for something similar to fit into my set.
Ideally I'd like to find a rough box with insert & no models.

Very cool—thanks for sharing and showing full set!
I have all the individual components but not the gift set.
Still on my wishlist—especially since I worked for BP for 36 years,!
