New hand on deck!

Post by Bonzothecat »

Hello!
My very first time on the Forum, even though I've visited quite a lot as a browser.
My name is Håkan (sorry about that, I know that's a tough one for any non-scandinavian), and I live on the west-coast of Sweden, not far from Gothenburg.
I am 59 years old and have been collecting for about ten years now. I started out with my old RW, but have sort of drifted into Superfast and Yesteryear, as well (I think it is inevitable in the long run). I have also stumbled upon some Morestone, Corgi Dublo, Tootsie and whatever looks nice (even a Rolly Toys from Brazil). Its hard to just pass by.
I will try and upload some overall pictures of the collection that is not in boxes under the bed, but I'm not quite sure how, so bear with me (I'm not the best with computers). I also have some I really haven't seen before, where I could need some help.
It feels great to be a part of the Forum and not just sneaking around among the topics.

Best regards, Håkan (Bonzo the cat says Hi too!)

Some of the Yesteryears. Most ones are to big to display (not enough wall-space), but the old ones are nice.

Welcome to the forum Håkan and (Bonzo!).

Looks like a very good mix of models you have collected and we look forward to seeing some single models pictured seperately when you have some spare time.

We encourage question asking here on the forum as this is how we all learn so don't be afraid that you might think any question is a silly one that we have all heard before, just ask away, OK.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome!
I will try and upload some pictures now (if I do it wrong, please let me know. I have a Mac, and didn't quite find all the "Image"- and "Resize"-buttons).
Most cars come from the Swedish eBay, but I´ve found quite a few on the British eBay as well (and a great find on the German site!).
Here we go:

Have never seen the yellow one in Sweden, but a pair of theese. Found one with balloon-tires which turned out to be a sort of play-do, which had ben pressed in between the wheels to make it look like 2 very big rear wheels.

Two nice Corsairs with boat. The grey-wheeled came from USA, and the boa-wheeled from a woman in Sweden whose father-in -law had died.

Gave a total of about 15 pounds, and got about 20 when I sold the Faller-cars.

This wasn't even in the ad. It was for four Faller-cars for a railroad track. This stood in the background and the ad stated that everything was included.

A find from the German eBay. Luckily I have a cousin in Berlin who could buy it for me, because the Germans don't easily ship abroad.

Got this in a lot too. It was quite a surprise! It came with two other boats with black wheels, and the grey ones didn't show on any of the pictures in the ad.
