Thanks to all respondents, there are some very useful tips there. I will start with a couple of them and see how it all goes. Keep an eye on ebay and hopefully one of my collection will be the one you have been looking for. I have owned them from new and as far as I can recall and see there are no repaints, but I will attach lots of photos and see what happens.

Does anyone remember the ESSO collection of the same era?

When you have them on an ebay page do bring a link to it here for us and among your pictures, make sure one of them is a good clear picture of the whole of the underside of the model. The underside detail including base securing rivets can tell a lot of the model's staus and this is what collectors will want to see.

Do think very hard about whether there are one or two you'd really like to keep! It's a lovely collection.

There are a couple of nicely-done repaints in here. The lower half of the yellow 31a Ford station wagon has been painted red, and so has the lower part of the 39a Ford convertible. They're in nice boxes, so you'll still get a decent price. There are also a few that are missing their drivers - both of the green-wheeled dumpers, the Land Rover, and the MG. Some are missing some paint - the Karrier refuse truck looks quite play worn. Boxes that have lost their flaps are also worth much less. They'll still sell, but be realistic about your expectations.

You might want to check the colour of the trim on the maroon removals van's grille and bumpers. It's a scarce item anyway but worth more with silver trim. The other one that you might want to check is the road roller - there are a couple of roof types that are very rare. Types 1 and 2 are worth much more.
