I've had a look at my 2a Dumpers, and Lesney seem to have used all sorts of pins for the pivot. The axles may be pivot pins, but the line across the heads makes me wary of making any claims in that direction.

Yes, I did think that it was unlikely there would only be one sort. I expect they just bought a box from the local ironmongers. My father still has cardboard boxes of panel pins from the 1950s and 1960s.
