Like some women I've dated - some are completely original and as built and others are heavily modified as time went along LOL. I tend to be a purist but I do like some specific types of modifications.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Thanks

Do you mean my ‘code 3? I thought it amusing to have a wreck truck look like a wreck.

Most definitely Yes - a photo of your code 3 wreck truck would be great :)

I used to create my own model wrecks many years ago - usually by setting fire to them :o - at least they were already in very poor shape so nothing of any value was lost!

Happily, I’ve never ‘hooked up’ with any wrecks. Kingsize maybe but all superfast.

I’ll sort some pics out later. I wonder if there’s a Code 3 forum page?

Here we have my modified K-12 Wreck Truck with the jib from a K-2 and a heavily rusted K-12 which I haven't decided what it can be yet, plus them in temporary situ on the dining table scrap yard. It's a pity the Kingsize were not to perfect scale with the 1-75 series. All rust, oil, damage and burnt out engines are all artificially done by me. The header board is from a Mercedes.

I was thinking of turning the 'wrusty wreck' into a mobile guided missile launcher as I have one from a Triang train set going spare. Any thoughts?

Are they close enough in scale to look right when done.

If it's an inter-continental ballistic, (which it is), then yes.
