Corgi 811/C811 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL
Corgi in the late Mettoy days and early Corgi Toys Ltd days made the 300SL in varying shades of Silver (generally tracking the then current shades of the James Bond Aston Martin) plus a red version. Here are a trio that are in my collection.

These are fine models but I was never really happy with the larger scale Corgi was using at this time and this range always seemed to me to be bordering on toy status instead of model status, collectors models at that!
I have the Rolls-Royce and Bentley from this range.
