THIS JUST IN...
My first purchase of 2019. This is a Preproduction Y-10 Silver Ghost from the Models of Yesteryear range. All the castings are the same as the bright blue model I showed in an earlier posting and notably on these models is the lack of any plating on the trim such as wheels, grille, running boards and windscreen etc, all left in the bare metal state.
Above - Full production models have a cross-member cast behind the rear of the engine sump gaurd, totally missing on these 'Pre-Pro' models.
Below - Now parked near the bright blue version from last year.

Nice Ghosts.
I actually work for RR (hence the username). As part of my apprenticeship I spent some time in the old car factory where the Ghost's were made. Our Foreman's office was where Henry Royce's office used to be and his old fireplace was still visible.
Here are a couple of pics (from a book so not great quality), one of the Ghost and another of the actual production line, although not like the car factories of today !
Apologies if I should not have posted these pics here.
